Christmas event 09.12.2023
We open the museum for Christmas event in 09. of December at 11:30. Non cheduled christmas steam train running 12:00 to 18:00. Santa Claus in action. Fo childrens until 16 YO event tax free, for others 10 € per person (include the steam train ride). Christmas cafe is open and the souvenirs shop. Payment only in cash. You welcome to enjoy the event!
Steam days in 21 and 22 of October
This year was very remarkable. 100 years ago opened narrow-gauge railways between Riisselja and Orajõe, between Valga and Koikküla and started construktion works Sonda – Mustvee narrow gauge line. 95 years ago opened Lelle – Papiniidu narrow gauge line. In autumn opened the first railway and first narrow gauge supply railway in Estonia. Estonian Railway company and our museum was founded in autumn. This is remarkable reason to celebrate this events with steam days. The museum is open in saturday at 11:00 to 18:00 and Sunday at 11:00 to 17:00. Steam train is running by Saturdays and Sundays time table. Prices by price list and payment only in cash. The cafe is open and souvenirs shop to. In video room you can see program about constructing Valga – Koikküla narrow gauge line 100 years ago. You welcome to enjoy this event!

In 17. September in Lavassaare village is an antique fair and museum open from 9:00 to 17:00. Steam train is run by special timetable and you can take a ride from village to. Usual prices and payment only in cash. Souvenirs shop in museum is open to. First steamtrain departure from museum at 9:30 and from village 10:00. Last departure from museum 16:00 and from village 16:30. You welcome to visit the museum.

Steam train traffick by Saturdays and Sundays shedule. Usual prices. Payment only in casch. A coff eteria is open and in souvenirs shop several interesting souvenirs can buy. You welcome to enjoy a trip with only working order steam engine in Estonia!
